Strength Training For Women (At Home Or The Gym)
Strength is the foundation of everything we do at TWPP Have a strong body and mind changes how your body works, how you carry yourself & how you feel about what you're truly capable of.
What this looks like
Whether you train at home with a couple of dumbbells or you're in a full gym, your programme is written around your life, your equipment & your starting point. Training after a break? We've got you! New to the Gym? We've got you! Nothing is copied & pasted and we tailor our services to suit you.
We start with technique & confidence before we chase numbers. We will teach you how to train for your goals, how to progress safely & how to keep going when life gets busy. Over time the weights go up, your posture changes & everyday things such as carrying shopping, keeping up with the kids, hiking, cycling — simply get easier. You will lift and achieve things you never thought where possible!

Effective strength & training Coach in the Burton Area
“I've both enjoyed my sessions with Emma & found them effective. I was looking for a strength & training coach in the South Staffordshire area & am grateful to have worked with Emma for the last 8 months on a cycling focussed programme. Her patience & knowledge has improved my performance & resilience, as well as addressing minor injuries that have cropped up from time to time. For personal PT in the Burton on Trent area i'd recommend Emma 100%.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a gym membership to strength train with TWPP?
No. Your programme is built around whatever you have — a full gym, a couple of dumbbells at home, or resistance bands. Many clients start at home & only move into the gym when (or if) they want to.
I've never lifted weights before — is this suitable for beginners?
Absolutely — most women who come to TWPP are complete beginners. We start with technique, light loads & confidence first. Nothing is progressed until you feel safe & capable, and every exercise comes with a video demo.
Will lifting weights make me bulky?
No. Women simply don't have the hormone profile to bulk up by accident. What strength training does give you is a firmer, stronger body, better posture, more energy & a higher metabolism — the 'toned' look most women are actually after.
How many sessions a week do I need to do?
That depends on your goals, schedule & recovery — for most women 2–3 well-planned sessions a week is plenty. We build the plan around your real life, so it stays doable in your busiest weeks.
