THE WOMEN'S POWER PROJECT A BIT ABOUT YOUR COACH
I truly believe that everyone can enjoy movement & food freedom with support, patience & commitment.
My own gym story starts when i was in my late 20's (im now early 40s) after struggling for years with injury, disordered eating & body /gym confidence.
Recently moving abroad after a relationship breakup i was feeling lost and my self esteem was at an all time low. A gym friend recommended I hire a Personal Trainer as i wasn't really sure what i was doing at the gym and needed help to work on myself, so I started working with Laura (founder of TWPP) in 2015 & the rest as they say..... is history.
My Personal Training career started shortly afterwards after i realised how much the gym had helped me grow as a person inside and out. I qualified as a Personal Trainer & Gym Instructor back in 2016 with T2 Fitness whilst serving overseas in the UK Armed Forces.
I was initially offering people advice after my return from Cyprus, helping friends & family & teaching Spin classes at my local DW Gym and Military colleague's at weekends.
It was always in the back of my mind how much i enjoyed helping people through teaching, coaching, inspand my favourite job roles whilst serving the RAF where my 2 Teaching roles as Cabin Crew and a Phase 2 Instructor. I was then posted to the East Midlands for my final tour of duty with the Royal Air Force (after serving for over 22 years).
A friend saw an advert on social media for a Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor at an Independent Gym nearby & suggested i apply. I had little experience at the time so was very apprehensive but i rang the Gym Owners and asked what they where looking for and if i could come for a chat. I was actually on a Promotion Course at RAF Halton. I remember at the time thinking it would just be a nice hobbie and a way to make abit more money and learn how to coach.
I was interviewed a week later & got the job as a part-time PT & Gym Instructor, alongside my full time teaching job in the Armed Forces at DMS Whittington. After my Sgt promotion course i was told that my RAF career was coming to an end. So i went all in on my new career path, mentoring by Laura, CPD courses & working every hour i could on the gym floor to learn how to coach different bodies, ages & abilities to become a better Coach. Often taking my RAF uniform off on a Friday afternoon & putting my Gym uniform straight on then doing the versa on a Monday morning.
Fast forward to today and here i am a proud Women's Lifestyle Coach.
I live in a little village in the East Midlands with my Partner Phil who is still serving with the Armed Forces we don't see each other much but we are building a life together that we love and i wouldn't change it.
I now specialise in helping Women 'Unleash their Power' offering Hybrid & Online coaching packages with the help of Laura the Founder who is now retired but who you will see on the app & in various mindset videos as i want her memory and legacy of TWPP to live on.
